Award-winning gospel musician Teresia Ndoti Wambua, widely known as Kush Tracey, has shared a heartfelt message encouraging single ladies to embrace their waiting season rather than feel pressured to rush into relationships.

In a post addressed to her fellow single sisters, she spoke about patience, healing and personal growth while waiting for the right partner.

Kush Tracey said some women often wonder when it will be their turn to find love. She encouraged them to remain hopeful, saying delays do not always mean something has been denied.

According to her, some waiting seasons are meant to prepare a person for a healthier relationship in the future.

“Maybe God is not saying ‘NO’ but saying, ‘Not yet, My daughter. ‘ Every time you ask, ‘Lord, when will it be my turn?’ Heaven may be whispering back, ‘I’m preparing you for a love that won’t break you,’ & remember not every delay is denial because some delays are divine protection,” Kush Tracey said on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Embracing the waiting season

She explained that the waiting period should be used to grow and become a better person. Kush Tracey said this is a time to heal from past experiences, renew the mind, strengthen character and build confidence before entering a relationship.

“God is far more concerned with preparing you than simply answering your timeline. While you’re praying for a godly husband, He is shaping you into a godly wife. While you’re asking Him to send the right man, He is healing wounds, renewing your mind, refining your character, restoring your identity & teaching you to find your security in Christ before you find it in a relationship because the greatest love story begins with knowing the One who wrote it,” she said.

Kush Tracey also reflected on past relationships that ended in disappointment. She said that some painful experiences may make sense later when viewed from a different perspective.

“Some relationships you cried over were actually prayers God refused to answer because He could see what you couldn’t. Looking back, you’ll realise that what felt like rejection was often God’s protection,” she said.

She encouraged single women not to look down on their current season but to use it to grow and prepare for the future.

“Don’t despise this single season. Build your relationship with God, heal from what/who hurt you, forgive & let go, grow in wisdom, align with purpose & let your standards be shaped by God’s Word, not by loneliness or pressure,” Kush Tracey said.
