Kitt Kiarie: Some women would rather have a man than a life

Kiarie said some women make major decisions around their partners, including avoiding career growth because they feel they must remain at home. She also said that some men make similar choices within marriage, presenting them as efforts to provide for their families.
“Some women would rather have a man than a life,” Kitt Kiarie said during an interaction with her fans on Instagram on Friday, August 14, 2026.
Kiarie explained that women sometimes give up opportunities to focus on their relationships. She said some may avoid taking promotions because they feel they need to stay home and handle household duties. According to Kiarie, making such sacrifices for a man can affect the relationship in ways the woman may not expect.
“And you know what, men also do this INSIDE marriage-they plan their whole lives thinking only of themselves and one day they report that they’re going abroad ‘to provide for the family’,” Kitt Kiarie said.

Kiarie said women should also consider what they give up while trying to maintain relationships. She explained that staying home to clean and manage a household while putting aside career opportunities can leave one making choices mainly for a partner. She said such sacrifices may not lead to the appreciation that the person expects.
“While you have been sitting around not taking promotions, because you have to be home to clean your bedroom. You do all this for a man, and it makes him hate you even more,” Kitt Kiarie said.
Kiarie said people should be careful about putting themselves in a position where they become fully dependent on another person. She explained that being treated as someone who simply follows another person’s wishes can affect how that person is viewed within the relationship. She used the word “doormat” to describe the situation.
Kiarie also questioned why some people choose to have several children with partners they believe do not love them. She said the decision can become harder to understand when a person already knows that the relationship may end. Her comments focused on the choices people make while in relationships and the consequences that can follow.
“I am really not sure why people have multiple children with people who hate them,” Kitt Kiarie said.
Kiarie further questioned situations where people have children after being told that ending a relationship would be easy because the couple is not married. She said having more than one child in such circumstances raises questions about the decisions being made. She acknowledged that she could understand one “mistake” but questioned having three children.
