Kamene Goro advises women on knowing their worth in relationships
By Katemarthason Okudo, July 14, 2026Kenyan media personality and radio host Kamene Goro has encouraged women to value themselves and stop accepting relationships where they are treated as an option instead of a priority.
In a video shared on her social media page on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, Kamene spoke about self-worth, urging women to recognise their value and choose relationships where they are genuinely appreciated.
‘You are the priority’
Kamene began by reminding women that they deserve to be treated as the most important person in a relationship rather than someone a partner fits into their schedule.
According to her, women should never settle for being second best.
“Women, you are not an option, you’re the priority. Not a priority, the priority. You stand second to none,” Kamene said.
She went on to explain that a person’s actions often reveal where they truly stand in someone’s life.

Know the difference
Kamene noted that there is a clear difference between someone who only makes plans when it is convenient and someone who intentionally creates time for the person they love.
She encouraged women to pay attention to those actions instead of making excuses for poor treatment.
“You know there’s a difference when a man says, ‘Let me see if I can find time,’ and, ‘I will make time for you.’ ‘I will make time for you’ makes you the priority,” she explained.
According to Kamene, recognising this difference can help women make healthier relationship choices.

Prioritise yourself
The media personality also challenged women to stop accepting situations where they are not valued.
She said the change begins with deciding not to settle and instead focusing on personal growth and self-respect.
“I want to challenge women to do something different with their lives right now. Stop allowing yourself to be an option. And we are going to stop allowing that by simply not accepting it,” she stated.
Kamene added that women do not have to respond with anger or seek attention when they feel unappreciated.

Instead, she encouraged them to quietly move on and invest their energy in themselves.
“Watch your own journey too and prioritise yourself elsewhere. We’re not going to make noise about it, we’re not going to be loud about it, we’re not even going to be mad or bitter about it. What we do, we keep it silent, we move, and we replace. Because you are the priority, baby girl, you’re the prize,” Kamene concluded.
Kamene has often used her social media platforms to share her views on relationships, self-worth and personal growth.
Her latest message has since attracted reactions online, with many women agreeing with her advice on knowing their value and choosing relationships where they are treated with respect.
