Jackie Matubia celebrates her daughter’s outstanding performance in school and swimming

In a post shared on her Instagram page on Thursday, July 2, 2026, Jackie said she was impressed after going through her daughter’s exam papers and seeing how she has managed to balance academics with early morning swimming training.
The actress said her daughter wakes up for the swimming club at 5am, trains hard and still performs well in class.
Balancing books and swimming
Jackie said she does not take her daughter’s effort for granted, noting that the young swimmer has shown commitment in both areas of her life.
After signing her daughter’s exam papers, the mother said she was proud of the discipline she has shown despite the demanding routine.
“Just got home and sat down to sign my daughter’s exam papers, and wow. The way this child balances the 5am swim club, trains so hard, and still comes out on top in both swimming and school honestly needs to be studied,” Jackie wrote.
She added that she continues to pray for her daughter to remain protected, strong and guided as she follows her dreams.
“She is truly blessed beyond measure, and I pray God continues to strengthen her, protect her, and guide every step she takes,” she added.
A mother’s reward for hard work
Jackie said her daughter’s hard work is one of the reasons she always wants to celebrate and treat her.
According to the actress, she does not spoil her daughter simply because she asks for things but because she sees the effort she puts into achieving her goals.
“This is exactly why I’ll always do my very best to spoil her a little, celebrate her, and give her the best life I can. Not because she asks for it, but because she works incredibly hard for her dreams,” she said.
She ended her message by congratulating her daughter and encouraging her to keep working towards her goals.
“So proud of you, my baby. “Keep shining, my champ,” she praised her.
Responding to concerns over early training
Jackie’s latest post comes weeks after she addressed concerns from social media users who questioned why her daughter attends swimming training as early as 5am.
The actress had shared moments from the young swimmer’s early morning sessions, prompting some followers to raise concerns about the cold weather and demanding routine.
However, Jackie explained that her daughter enjoys swimming and willingly takes part in the training.
“Before the parenting experts arrive in my DM, please save your concerns about my child swimming at 5am in cold water. She is not complaining and she loves what she does,” she wrote.
She added that swimming is her daughter’s passion and that her role as a mother is to support her journey.
“Swimming is her passion, her choice, and her journey. As her mother, my job is to support her dreams, not limit them because they are uncomfortable to other people,” she stated.
For Jackie, the focus remains on supporting her daughter’s passion and helping her pursue her goals.
