I miss everything: Amina Mohamed remembers late husband 5 years after his death
By Valerian Khakayi, July 29, 2026Former Cabinet Secretary and Ambassador Amina Mohamed has shared a heartfelt tribute to her late husband, Khalid, marking five years since his passing with an emotional message about love, loss and the enduring memories they created together.
In a moving post publicly shared on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, Amina admitted that although five years have gone by, living without her husband still feels unimaginable.
“It seems impossible that I have learned to count time without you,” Amina wrote, adding that some days it still feels as though he has only stepped away briefly and will return with his familiar smile.
Reflecting on life since his death, Amina said there has not been a single day when she has not spoken to him in her heart.
She revealed that people often ask what she misses most but insisted there is no simple answer.
“It is impossible to answer because I miss everything,” she wrote.
