Gospel singer Loise Kim cries out to God as son undergoes surgery in India
By Steve Ireri, September 11, 2026Gospel singer Loise Kim has turned to prayer during a deeply worrying moment after her son David was admitted to hospital in a worrying condition and subsequently underwent surgery.
In a Facebook post on Friday, September 11, 2026, Loise opened up about the difficult moment in an emotional prayer in which she reflected on the pain of watching her son go through the ordeal, describing it as one of the lowest moments she has experienced.
“This was one of my lowest moments; seeing you suffer was incredibly painful, son. But through it all, I thank God for carrying you through surgery and for the recovery process,” Loise wrote.
The gospel singer also thanked everyone who had stood with her family through the difficult period, particularly those who remembered David in their prayers as he underwent treatment.
“Thank you all for your prayers,” she said.
Loise then turned her attention to her faith, openly expressing her exhaustion at receiving distressing medical reports and pleading with God for an end to what she described as a painful cycle.
“Jehovah, my King, I am tired of receiving this kind of report. This is not my portion, in Jesus’ name,” she prayed.
The singer further reflected on the lives of other people she sees celebrating, enjoying themselves and experiencing what she described as the blessings God has given them.
“I see many people celebrating, enjoying life, and experiencing the blessings You have given them. Lord, I believe my portion is also a life of joy, abundance, good health, and peace,” she wrote.
Her prayer also touched on the financial burden that can accompany medical emergencies, with Loise making a powerful declaration that she did not want her finances to continue being consumed by hospital bills.
“My money is not for hospital bills,” she declared.
The gospel singer went on to pray against sickness and sorrow within her household, rejecting what she described as a cycle of illness, pain and unexpected medical expenses.
“My home is not a place of sickness and sorrow. I reject every cycle of illness, pain, and unexpected medical expenses,” Loise wrote.
She further prayed that her money would instead be used to support the things she values in life, including building, blessing others, enjoying life and creating memories with her loved ones.
“Father, let my finances be used to build, bless, enjoy, give, and create beautiful memories—not to pay hospital bills,” she prayed.
Loise also declared healing, prosperity, peace and joy over her life and family as she continued to seek God’s intervention following her son’s surgery.
“I declare that healing, prosperity, peace, and joy are my portion,” she wrote.
The singer concluded the emotional prayer by specifically placing her son David’s recovery in God’s hands, asking for the difficult season to be transformed and expressing her faith that he would emerge from the ordeal in good health.
“Turn this season around for my son David. Healing and good health is his portion. I choose to believe Your promises, my King. Amen,” she prayed.
