Gilad undergoes shoulder surgery after accident

The unexpected medical emergency happened just a week before he was scheduled to fly out for his nephew’s wedding.
Change of plans
Gilad shared the updates with his followers on Instagram, posting pictures of himself in hospital scrubs with a heavily bandaged arm. He also posted photos of himself supported by a sling while hanging out with his friends.
Although he did not share the exact details of how the accident happened, the musician noted that the surgery went well, thanking his mother for stepping in at a crucial moment.
“My Mother (who also doubles as my guardian angel) managed to secure the surgery with one of the world’s leading shoulder specialists,” Gillad wrote.
He commended his family for staying by his side throughout the hospital stay. The singer recalled waking up from the operation, still heavily loaded with painkillers, just in time to watch football star Lionel Messi score a hat-trick.
He also thanked his daughter for feeding him and taking care of him, revealing she was recently accepted to nursing school.
Coming back home to Kenya
The singer revealed that a wise young Kenyan gave him some solid advice during the difficult period. He was told to stop asking why the accident happened to him and instead write down a list of everything he is thankful for. This mindset shift helped him focus on the positive aspects of his recovery journey.
Despite the physical setback, Gilad still managed to travel, dance a little at his nephew’s wedding, and spend quality time with his brothers after many years apart.
Reflecting on the scary experience, the singer wrote, “Most of all, I’m grateful for the gift of life, which I intend to continue living to the fullest every chance I get.”
With the successful operation behind him, Gilad is now preparing to return home to Kenya. He assured his fans that he is heading back to focus on his upcoming projects, which include releasing new music and managing an upcoming garlic harvest.
