Gilad reunites with singer Wendy Kimani days after shoulder surgery
By Dan Kauna, June 28, 2026Kenyan music lovers have every reason to smile after celebrated singers Gilad Millo and Wendy Kimani finally reunited. The two stars met up in Nairobi, marking their first physical meeting in eight long years.
The unexpected hangout has excited entertainment fans across the country, especially because Gilad is currently healing from a major medical procedure.
Overcoming pain after shoulder surgery
Gilad shared a photo on his official Instagram page standing next to Wendy while wearing a black arm sling late on Saturday, June 28, 2026. The singer recently underwent shoulder surgery following an accident, a setback that left him dealing with a lot of physical discomfort.
Despite the physical strain, the musician decided that a chance to see Wendy before she travels back abroad was an opportunity he could not miss.

In his social media post, Gilad opened up about the difficult choices he faced that evening. He told his followers that his options were to “stay home & ignore the pain” or go out and see Wendy.
He chose to brave the discomfort, choosing friendship over staying in bed. Kenyans quickly flooded his comment section to praise his strength and wish him a speedy recovery.
Hit collaborations and a promised live show
The two artists hold a special place in the hearts of Kenyans due to their musical history. They are famous for their 2015 hit song Unajua, a classic love song that ruled local radio stations and remains a massive karaoke favourite to this day.

They also worked together on another successful single called Asikwambie, cementing their status as one of Kenya’s most beloved musical duos.
Wendy, who relocated abroad years ago, is back in the country to promote her latest music. Her brief visit provided the perfect timing for the former singing partners to link up and talk about old times
Gilad also dropped a hint about a future project, writing, “it was awesome seeing you and catching up next time we plan a show together, Majaliwa.”
