Gbag Na Jug hitmaker Stoopid Boy has died, with news of his death sparking an outpouring of grief among his fans and fellow artistes.

Singer Jay Classic, who was Stoopid’s close friend, confirmed the news in a Facebook video on Thursday, August 27, 2026, saying he had since arrived at his home in Gotha City.

He added that the artiste’s manager, Casto, had also arrived as news of his death spread.

“I am here at Gotha City, and Stoopid Boy has indeed died,” Jay Classic said.

He described the development as sad news, telling his followers that he had gone to the area where the artiste had died.

“So it is sad news, guys. Here, where he died, his manager Casto has also arrived,” he said.

Jay further said that a large number of people had gathered at Stoopid Boy’s home following news of his death.

“And people have arrived here at Stoopid Boy’s home in numbers,” he said.

He went on to describe the situation at the home as difficult as mourners came to terms with the artiste’s death.

He then asked his followers to pray for Stoopid Boy’s family and for strength during the difficult period.

“It is really bad. But we pray for the family and we pray to God that all will be well,” he said.

Jay Classic then switched between English and Swahili as he continued to mourn the artiste, repeating that Stoopid Boy had died.

“Sad news. Stoopid Boy amejinyonga. Niko hapa kwao sahii na mambo sio fiti, guys,” he added.

Jay then shared another painful detail about the family’s loss, saying Stoopid Boy’s death came only about two months after the death of his brother.

Kumbuka hata two months hazijaisha tangu bro yake adedi,” he said.

He said the latest death had left their mother without any of her children.

Sahii mamake amebaki bila mtoto hata mmoja,” he said.

Jay Classic concluded his message with a prayer for the bereaved family, asking God to give them strength as they faced the devastating loss.

“Dear God, please give them strength during this hard time,” he said.
