Away from acting, Mugo has earned a reputation as one of Kenya’s leading stunt performers.

He has worked on several high-profile productions, including the Netflix sci-fi series Sense8 and the Kenyan military action film Mission to Rescue.

His expertise in action scenes has made him a sought-after stuntman for both local and international productions filmed in Kenya.

Hollywood breakthrough

In 2026, Mugo landed a role in Season 2 of the Hollywood espionage thriller The Agency, one of the biggest international productions to be filmed partly in Kenya.

By featuring local actors, stunt performers and crew members, productions such as The Agency are helping showcase Kenya’s creative talent while exposing local professionals to global filmmaking standards.

For Emmanuel Mugo, the journey from Tahidi High to Hollywood is a testament to years of dedication, hard work and perseverance.

As his international profile continues to grow, many believe he is well-positioned to become one of Kenya’s most recognisable faces in global film and television.
