Esma Platnumz questions inappropriate content on social media, urges parents to protect children

Esma said she had recently been seeing videos with adult content and was concerned about children accessing such material.
Esma raised the concern while speaking about social media and the need for parents to pay attention to what children may encounter online. She said the videos had been appearing repeatedly for about three days, leaving her worried about the type of content that can be accessed.
“Jamani tuwe makini na watoto wetu na hii mitandao ya kijamii tena hasa instagram, kama siku tatu sasa kwenye reels nakutana na video za kikubwa hazina maadili kabisa wallah nimeogopa,” Esma Platnumz said on Sunday, August 2, 2026.
The businesswoman said the content had made her question whether other people were also coming across similar videos. Her concern was mainly about the possibility of children seeing material that she described as having no morals.
Esma speaks on social media concerns
Esma’s comments on social media came as she also shared her thoughts on breakups and relationships. On Monday, July 20, 2026, she said people should take time to think about how they handle the end of relationships and what comes after.
Esma explained that she is not used to giving advice, but felt the issue was important enough to discuss. She said the matter affects both women and men and encouraged people to think carefully before moving into another relationship.
“Sipo vizuri katika kushauri lakini kuna muda inastahili tuliongelee hili swala,” Esma Platnumz said.
She said many people rush into new relationships after breakups without giving themselves enough time to heal. According to Esma, making such decisions too quickly can later lead to regret and leave people questioning their choices.
Esma also raised questions about whether it is right to begin a new relationship immediately after ending another one. She questioned why some people later regret moving on too quickly instead of taking time to deal with what they had gone through.
“Unadhani kupona kwanza ni muhimu kabla ya kuanza mahusiano mengine? Je, umewahi kuingia kwenye mahusiano mapya haraka na baadaye ukajuta?” Esma Platnumz said.
