Don’t come to Kenya: Vindee calls out Kai Cenat over Streamer University exclusion
By Katemarthason Okudo, July 10, 2026Kenyan content creator Vindee has expressed disappointment after missing out on Kai Cenat’s Streamer University Class of 2026, saying the exclusion has changed how he views a possible visit by the American streamer to Kenya.
Speaking during his livestream on Friday, July 10, 2026, Vindee questioned why East African creators were not represented in the final group selected for the programme.
He said Kai Cenat should not consider travelling to Kenya or the wider East African region if local streamers are not being given opportunities through his creator platform. “What I can say is that I do not think you should visit Kenya. Do not even think of coming to Kenya or East Africa,” Vindee said.
The streamer argued that a visit would mean little if creators from the region were left out of programmes meant to support and connect online talent. “If you cannot have any East African streamer at your Streamer University, then I do not see a reason for you to visit East Africa,” he added.

Questions over missed email
Vindee’s remarks came days after he explained why his name did not appear on the final Streamer University list. Kai Cenat announced the selected creators during a livestream on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. More than 100 creators were picked for the second edition of the programme.
Vindee was missing from the list, despite earlier sharing an email that appeared to show that his application had moved forward. The omission left many of his followers confused, especially after he had celebrated what he believed was an acceptance message.
In an Instagram Stories post on Wednesday, July 8, Vindee said he had failed to see a confirmation email sent through the Streamer University website. “I missed the email. I was busy organising Ashton Hall’s Kenya schedule and completely missed the Streamer University website confirmation email,” he said.
Call for better communication
Vindee said Kai Cenat should have tried another way to reach applicants who had not responded to important messages.

He suggested that a phone call could have helped avoid the situation. “If you see someone is not responding to the email, you should reach that person through a call,” he said.
Streamer University is a creator programme founded by Kai Cenat, bringing together selected online creators for activities centred on content creation, collaboration and entertainment. While Vindee will not be part of the 2026 class, he has said he is still focused on his next move.
His earlier message showed that he is preparing something new, although he did not share details about the project. His supporters are now waiting to see what he will announce next.
