Diana Marua opens up how Bahati won her over amid age-gap backlash

She said Bahati remained unbothered by the opinions around them and continued to show her love.
Marua explained that Bahati’s approach to their relationship made a strong impression on her. She also revealed that she stopped seeing other people she was dating after deciding to focus on her relationship with him.
“Society judged our age difference! He was unbothered & he loved me more! I dropped everyone I was dating, and I told God…” Diana Marua said on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The content creator also recalled a moment when Bahati publicly referred to her as his prayer partner. She said the post attracted comments from other people, but at the time, the two were deeply in love and focused on their relationship.

“One day, he posted this and captioned it Prayer Partner, and everyone had Something to say about it!” Diana Marua said.
Marua described the relationship using several affectionate terms, explaining the place Bahati held in her life. She said she saw him as someone who gave her comfort, peace and a sense of safety during their relationship.
“Ahh! We were so in LOVE! I called him my love, my safe space. My Heaven on Earth, my peace, my world!” Diana Marua said.
Marua also spoke about the reassurance she received from Bahati during their relationship. She said he regularly made sure she knew that he loved her, something she described as an important part of their bond.
She said Bahati consistently showed qualities that she valued in their relationship. Marua described him as faithful, open, loving and caring, while also highlighting his faith.
“There’s not a single day that passed without him assuring me that He loved me. Oh how I love this man! He has been faithful, open, loving, caring and above all God-Fearing!” Diana Marua said.
She went on to express her desire to remain with Bahati for the rest of their lives. Her message focused on the love she has for him and her wish to grow older alongside him.
“I want to grow old with you! I love you, my BAHATI,” Diana Marua said.
Marua’s remarks offered a look back at the relationship and how she viewed Bahati despite the comments made about their age difference. She described their connection as one built on love, reassurance and qualities she valued.
