Diana Daisy reveals why she wants to visit 197 countries after touring 29
By William Muthama, September 22, 2026Kenyan travel content creator Diana Daisy has revealed her ambitious plan to visit all 197 countries using her Kenyan passport after already travelling to 29 countries.
Speaking in an interview posted on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, Diana, who recently returned to Kenya after about two years of travelling, said her goal goes beyond simply collecting passport stamps.
“I want to complete 197 countries,” she said, adding that she hopes to become the first woman from Kirinyaga to achieve the feat.
Her travels have taken her to destinations that are less commonly visited by Kenyan travellers, including Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu, Nepal, Samoa, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.
Exploring different cultures
For Diana, travelling is largely about discovering how people in different parts of the world live and experiencing cultures that differ from her own.
She said every country has something different to offer, making each journey a unique experience.
Her travels have also given her an opportunity to interact with communities and document their traditions and everyday lives for her online audience.
During her 2025 trip to Papua New Guinea, Diana spent time with indigenous communities and documented aspects of their way of life.
She has also developed a particular interest in the Pacific region, having travelled to countries including Fiji, Tuvalu, Samoa and Vanuatu.
The destinations have allowed her to explore places beyond the traditional tourist routes while sharing her experiences with her followers.
Wants to explore Africa
Despite having travelled extensively outside Africa, Diana said the continent remains a major part of her future plans.
“I feel I want to do more of Africa,” she said.
Her return to Kenya followed a period of continuous travel during which she documented her experiences across different destinations.
Nepal was among her most recent adventures before she returned home in September.
Diana said her love for travel is also driven by the opportunity to experience different cultures rather than focusing solely on the number of countries she has visited.
With 29 countries already on her travel list, she now has her sights set on a much bigger milestone — completing all 197 countries with her Kenyan passport.
