Diamond Platnumz’s sister Esma reveals Zuchu blocks them whenever she quarrels with him
By Steve Ireri, September 14, 2026Diamond Platnumz’s sister Esma Platnumz has opened up about the tensions that she says sometimes follow disagreements between the Bongo Flava star and his wife Zuchu, revealing that the singer has a habit of blocking members of his family whenever she falls out with him.
Speaking to a local Tanzanian radio station on Monday, September 14, 2026, Esma, who is Diamond’s elder sister, revealed that a disagreement between Zuchu and Diamond can sometimes extend beyond the couple, with members of the singer’s family finding themselves cut off from communication even when they are not directly involved in the dispute.
Esma said that after such disagreements, attempts to reach Zuchu may prove futile because she would have already blocked them.
“And you find that she may have an argument with her husband, Nasibu, and then later on tomorrow you try to call her and you find she has blocked you. She gets angry so fast,” she said.
She explained that the situation could continue until Zuchu calms down, describing the singer as someone who gets angry quickly during such moments.
Esma further claimed that Zuchu’s reaction is not limited to Diamond’s immediate family, saying she has at times gone ahead to block other people associated with the singer and his Wasafi camp.
“So every time she gets in a disagreement with Diamond, she blocks everyone else related to him,” she added.
Esma said she does not approve of the behaviour and has previously spoken directly to Zuchu about it, urging her to change her approach whenever she gets into disagreements with Diamond.
The entrepreneur said she had recently spoken to Zuchu and used the opportunity to remind her that she is now a mother and therefore needs to approach some situations with greater maturity.
“And I do not like it, and I usually tell her that she cannot keep doing that. She just needs to get used to this man. Even a few days ago, I talked to her, and I explained to her that she should know that she is now a mother,” Esma shared.
Esma urged the singer to leave behind what she described as her previous attitudes and instead channel her attention towards caring for her child.
She said motherhood should give Zuchu a new perspective, particularly when dealing with disagreements within her relationship and the wider family.
“She needs to mature and quit the attitudes. She needs to leave them behind and focus and care for the baby,” Esma said.
