Commentator 254 raises alarm over rising insecurity in Kasarani
By Paulette Mboga, July 28, 2026Commentator 254 has raised an alarm over what he described as rising insecurity in Kasarani, saying reports of theft and robbery in the area have become too frequent.
He also claimed that similar incidents are happening in many other parts of the country.
He explained that he has recently heard of several reported cases, including stolen vehicle side mirrors and an armed robbery at a salon. According to him, the reports have left him wondering what is happening in the area.
“The cases of insecurity zenye zimekuwa ziki reportiwa Kasarani, zimekua too much. Saa hizi kuna boys ameibiwa side mirrors mbili, kuna beshte yangu pia, CX5 alingolewa side mirrors zake, sasa leo kuna ile video ya CCTV ilipostiwa wasee wameingia na gun kwa salon wakaibia watu masimu,” Commentator 254 said on Monday, July 27, 2026.
He said the reported incidents have raised concern because they involve different types of crime happening within a short period. He also referred to CCTV footage that he said showed people entering a salon with a gun before stealing phones.
According to the victims, the gunman made away with Ksh50,000 and a phone.
Concerns over reported incidents
“Na mimmi nashindwa kwani rada ya kasarani ni gani. Na najua si tu kasarani, ni most parts of this country. Insecurity inapanda huko juu na style ingine deadly,” Commentator 254 said.
He explained that although he was speaking about Kasarani, he believes the issue is not limited to one area. According to him, reports of insecurity have been increasing in different parts of the country.
Commentator 254 also referred to another incident that he said happened in the Seasons area of Kasarani. He used it as another example of the security concerns he believes residents are facing.
“Hapo Kasarani hapo Seasons, kuna mwizi alichomwa saa tisa asubuhi. A few weeks ago,” Commentator 254 said.
He said the reported incident happened a few weeks ago and added it to the list of cases he mentioned while speaking about insecurity. He maintained that the number of reported incidents has continued to worry him.
His remarks focused on the reports he has come across and his concern about security in Kasarani. He also argued that the situation extends beyond a single location, saying he believes insecurity is affecting many parts of the country and warrants attention.
