Nairobi man Chief Bernard has shown off a certificate after claiming he has been promoted to a higher rank within Freemasonry and appointed to represent the organisation across Africa.

Speaking in a video shared on TikTok on Saturday, September 19, 2026, Bernard displayed what he described as his latest verified certificate while announcing that he had risen to the position of Grand Master.

“Finally, I have been promoted and I have gone a rank higher and now more powerful. I have my certificate here. I have been made the Grand Master to represent the whole of Africa,” he said.

Bernard, who has previously made online claims about his position within Freemasonry circles, said the new position had elevated him beyond his previous role in East Africa.

“The devil loves me. Now I am no longer the head of Freemasons in East Africa alone but I am in the whole world,” he said.

He also insisted that the certificates issued to members were verified, urging those joining the organisation to obtain what he described as the latest verified documents.

“And these certificates are the newest and verified. And anyone who joins must get these verified certificates. And we will continue pushing for this initiative,” Bernard said.

The latest announcement comes only days after Bernard made headlines for treating musician Stevo Simple Boy and his family to a fully paid trip to the Kenyan Coast.

Speaking in a TikTok video on Sunday, September 13, 2026, Bernard said he had honoured a promise to take Stevo, his wife Brenda and their son Dragon Junior to Mombasa for a holiday.

“And I am a man of my word, and I had promised that I would take Stevo Simple Boy to Mombasa for a vacation. And he has come with his wife and his son Dragon Junior,” he said.

Bernard showed off his vehicle alongside Stevo’s car as the two families prepared to begin their road trip to the Coast.

He said the trip would begin in Mombasa before the group proceeded to Diani to continue enjoying their getaway.

“And I have my expensive car here, and Stevo also has his. Now I want us to fill our fuel tank, and then we head out. Mombasa, see you soon,” he said.

The gesture came after Bernard had promised to facilitate the coastal holiday for Stevo and his family, with the rapper joining him for the journey.
