Charlene Ruto, brother George dress to kill as Miss International Kenya is hosted in the wild
By Steve Ireri, August 22, 2026First Daughter Charlene Ruto and her brother George Ruto stepped out in stylish ensembles as Miss International Kenya 2026 held a special runway event in the middle of Nairobi National Park.
In videos shared by SPM Buzz on Instagram on the evening of Saturday, August 22, 2026, Charlene is seen looking elegant in a pink dress that fell slightly below her knees and featured a couture embellishment around the shoulders.
She paired the dress with a black wig and pink earrings, completing the look with a silver purse and a pair of high heels featuring silver and pink details that complemented her outfit.

George, on the other hand, opted for a more understated yet polished look, wearing a brown Turkish-style shirt with white khaki trousers and a pair of sneaker-style loafers.
He arrived at the venue in a convoy of vehicles before making his way to the entrance, where SPM Buzz interviewer Miss Kithinji welcomed him and immediately engaged him in an interview.
Miss International Kenya goes to the wild
The event brought together contestants, organisers and guests for a unique celebration of beauty and pageantry against the backdrop of Nairobi National Park.
Speaking during the red-carpet interviews, Miss Betty Kithinji explained that the event had been organised to celebrate women, beauty and pageantry while also giving Kenyan contestants a platform to compete for the opportunity to represent the country internationally.
“Miss International Kenya 2026, we are in the wild at the Nairobi National Park, right in the middle of Nairobi National Park,” Kithinji said.
She said the unusual setting was part of what made the event special, describing the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate Kenyan women in an environment that reflected the country’s natural beauty.
“We are here to celebrate women, beauty, pageantry and all those who are going to represent us internationally at the Miss International 2026,” she said.

Kithinji revealed that 16 semi-finalists had made it to the competition and would battle it out for the coveted crown.
“So we have 16 semi-finalists who are going to be competing for the crown,” she said.
She further described the event as distinctly Kenyan and African, highlighting the combination of the country’s beauty, culture and natural landscape.
“Very authentic, very African and very beautiful,” Kithinji said.
Kithinji also revealed that beauty alone would not determine who ultimately takes the Miss International Kenya crown.
She said she had spoken to some members of the organising committee and learnt that leadership would be among the important qualities considered when selecting the eventual winner.
“I have spoken to some of the committee members and they say leadership and beauty, of course, are two of the things that will put that winner on the throne,” she said.
