Charisma praises Kodong Klan’s teamwork behind his new song ‘Your Body’

In a post shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, September 11, Charisma explained that although only two of the seven Kodong Klan members officially sang on the song, the entire group was involved in shaping the track.
All members involved in creative process
According to Charisma, the making of Your Body went beyond the members who provided vocals for the song. He noted that all seven members took part in the creative process, contributing to the work that eventually brought the song together.
“The recording session for ‘Your Body’ is one of the most beautiful examples of solidarity that I’ve ever experienced in the studio,” Charisma said.
The singer’s remarks highlighted the collaborative nature of Kodong Klan, with members contributing even when they were not among the voices featured on the final recording.
Only two members sang
Charisma pointed out that Kodong Klan has seven members, but only two officially sang on Your Body. Despite this, he said the other members remained involved in developing the song, helping to shape the final version through their creative input.
“Despite the fact that out of the seven members of Kodong Klan, only two of them officially sang on the song, all the members participated in the creative process to make this song whole,” he stated.
The comments offer a glimpse into how the collective approaches its music, with the creative work shared among the members regardless of who eventually takes the lead on vocals.
Kodong Klan takes ‘Your Body’ beyond music
Charisma ended his message by celebrating the song’s connection to the Caribbean, adding a reference to Konpa, a popular Haitian music genre. “Konpa to the world,” he wrote.
His message comes as Kodong Klan continues to bring together different creative voices within its music. The group’s approach on Your Body shows that collaboration can extend beyond performing, with each member playing a role in developing the music before it reaches listeners.
