Esther Njeri, grandmother of the late Kenyan TikTok star Brian Chira, has revealed plans to host her grandson’s friend, Germany-based TikToker Nyako, in her home during future visits.

The announcement came after the grandmother started reflecting on her grandson’s life after Nyako visited his grave in Githunguri on Thursday, December 4, 2025.

Speaking at the gravesite, the grandmother described the house TikTokers built her following Chira’s passing as fully equipped and comfortable, designed to allow visitors to stay without stress or pressure.

“But I built a nice house, but Nyako has not even had a chance to see or tour inside because we just met at the stage, and we came here to the grave directly. But the house is a nice one,” she said.

She emphasised that the house has modern amenities, including hot water for bathing, spacious rooms, and a private environment suitable for extended stays.

She expressed her desire for Nyako to come directly to her home whenever she visits Kenya, without the need to worry about obligations or social pressures that often accompany such visits.

“Because she has not had a chance to see the house I want, next time she comes to Kenya, I want her to come and stay there. And she will not have pressure because the house has everything in it, including hot showers and neat rooms and clean bathrooms. I would want you to say even for a month,” the grandmother said.

Nyako responded cautiously to the invitation, clarifying that she had not formally accepted it but noted that TikTokers could create content or build stories based on the possibility of her staying in Njeri’s house.

“Eei, if I stay here for that long, here TikTokers will find a topic. You don’t know how TikTokers are like sometimes,” Nyako said.

Chira’s life

During the grave visit, Esther also spoke at length about the financial difficulties surrounding her grandson’s final days.

She recounted that Brian had been under stress because a substantial gift of nearly Ksh300,000 from a supporter named King Roso mysteriously disappeared, leaving him frustrated and anxious.

“Before Brian passed away, he had received gifts on TikTok, but he ended up drinking all that money. It was like the stress from that money was weighing him down. King Roso even sent him Ksh300,000, and I remember it clearly,” she said.

Njeri further revealed that after Brian’s death, donations sent to her were mismanaged by individuals who claimed they were settling debts she did not know of, adding to the complexity of managing her family’s affairs during a difficult period.

Despite these financial complications, she highlighted that she had invested in building a comfortable and well-appointed home.

“People genuinely gave me money, but it all just disappeared. At that time, I didn’t fully understand what was happening. I was told there were debts, so the money was being sent there. But I built a nice house,” she added.
