Lady Bishop Kathy Kiuna has shared an emotional testimony reflecting on her son Jeremy Kiuna’s remarkable journey from a fragile premature birth to academic success while giving glory to God for his progress.

Taking to social media on Sunday, May 17, 2026, Kathy celebrated her son Jeremy Kiuna after he graduated with a Master’s degree in finance, marking yet another milestone in his life journey.

“Give glory to God with me. For the third time, my son @jeremykiunaofficial has done it again. This time he graduated with a master’s in Finance,” Kathy wrote.

Jeremy’s premature birth

She went on to recount the difficult beginning of his life, revealing that Jeremy was born at just six months, weighing so little that he could fit in the palm of her hand.

Kathy also described how his first diaper could fit a Barbie doll, highlighting just how critical his condition was at birth.

“When I look back at the boy who had almost no chance of survival. Born at 6 months. Could fit on my palm. First diaper could fit a Barbie doll,” she recalled.

The preacher further recalled the long months spent in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), a period she described as deeply traumatic, surrounded by constant alarms and the heartbreaking reality of seeing other children lose their lives daily.

“Was in NICU for months. Months after we left the hospital I could still hear those machines ringing in my ears. Daily a child was dying. The trauma was real”, Kathy added.

Despite the difficult start, Kathy said Jeremy’s life is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and purpose.

“And here we are AGAIN, declaring that our God reigns. Nothing He has purposed for you can be thwarted,” she wrote.

She also offered encouragement to parents raising children with special needs, urging them not to lose hope.

“To every parent with a special needs child, don’t give up. God can be trusted. Keep watching”, she encouraged.

Jeremy on his graduation

This comes after Jeremy shared a heartfelt reflection following his graduation with a Master’s in business administration (MBA), describing it as his most challenging academic journey yet due to the absence of his late father, whom he said was his greatest motivation.

“Yesterday I graduated with my 3rd degree, a 3/3 master’s in MBA (Business Administration), which is amazing and all, but in all honesty, my toughest degree, not because of the actual degree but because this is the first degree without my old man. He was the one I did all this for. Let me tell you a story when I was like 22,” Jeremy shared.

“We made a deal with him that I get married after my degree, and low and behold, that’s exactly what’s happening. No coincidences with God anyway. This one was my hardest one without my best friend, MY DAD, but not just that, I’m also growing up and after 11 years moving out of @pstpeterkanyi and @jordankanyi home (marriage, remember).”

“What can I say but thank you to you guys? You have loved on me and made me your firstborn son. I am fully in debt to you for everything for being with me from 15 years old when I had my first surgery to 25. I’m so honoured and blessed to have @pstpeterkanyi and @jordankanyi as one of my spiritual coverings. You guys have taught me how to literally do everything from scratch, walk again, believe in myself, man up and become, but most importantly, to LOVE JESUS FOR ME. Thank you.”

“Last but never least, my mum @revkathykiuna thank you for being such a strength to me not just as your son but also as my lady bishop for pushing me and calling me out for greatness. I appreciate you so much, Mum. You are the first gift God ever gave me. I’m so honoured to have you as my mother. I love you so much. Thank you.”
