Ben Githae pens emotional message after death of popular Blue Springs supervisor

In an emotional message shared on Facebook on Friday, April 10, 2026, Githae described Flo as a familiar and beloved figure at Blue Springs, noting that she was often seen around the gym and barbershop area where she worked as a supervisor.
He said many patrons who frequented the establishment would easily recognise her due to her warm presence and friendly interaction with clients.
“The Blue Spring Fraternity is mourning. Ukienda hapo gym and kinyozi you could not fail to see this beautiful supervisor by the name of Florence Wanjiru,” he wrote.
The gospel musician expressed deep sorrow over her sudden passing, revealing that he personally interacted with her during his visits to the facility. He extended his condolences to her family, friends, and clients, describing the news as painful and unexpected.
“People just call her Flo; it’s sad to hear that Flo is no more,” Githae further wrote.
Flo, as she was commonly known, had built strong relationships with both staff and customers at Blue Springs, where she was regarded as a cheerful and approachable member of the team.
Her death has left colleagues and patrons in shock, with many taking to social media to share messages of grief and remembrance.
Ben Githae also acknowledged the pain felt by those who knew her, stating that her passing came too soon and has deeply affected the Blue Springs community.
“Pole to her family and her clients, me included. You have gone so fast,” the singer shared.

Prayers for Regina
In a Facebook post on Sunday, December 28, 2025, Githae shared that Regina was responding very well to treatment and asked everyone to keep her in their prayers.
“Our friend Regina is responding very well to treatment at Avenue Hospital! Let’s all continue praying for her,” Githae wrote.
Regina’s message
On her part, Regina expressed deep gratitude to the friends who supported her during this difficult time.
“Friends are angels who lift us up when our wings forget how to ✈ fly. These kinds of friends, I pray that God never denies you access to them when you are in a situation like mine,” Regina wrote.
She highlighted the support she has received from Githae, Pastor Ann, and their mutual friend Wacheke, drawing a comparison to the biblical story of the three wise men visiting Abraham and Sarah.
“Starting with Ben Githae and pastor Ann and our friend Wacheke, you have done just like what the 3 wise men did when God sent them to visit Abraham and Sarah,” Anganiwe shared.
