Bahati shocked after discovering woman claiming to be his mother has musician son

Taking to his official Instagram on Friday, February 12, 2026, Bahati shared a video of the woman with her children during an interview, and the son showcased his singing talent, leaving the singer in shock.
“So nko hadi na brothers and sisters? Na ni msanii, does this add up?” Bahati wrote.

In a video shared online, the woman introduced herself and spoke about her family.
“Niko na watoto wangu hapa na wengine ni wakubwa washaenda kazi. Niko na Baraka hapa, si Bahati peke yake,” she said.
She went on to insist that she is ready to prove her claims.
“Nikipatana na Bahati, kitu ya kwanza ni msamaha na kuambia Mungu shukran. Niko tayari kufanya DNA, na niko na hakika Bahati ni mtoto wangu,” she added.
The woman’s son, who also identifies as a musician, expressed his desire to work with Bahati. After briefly singing during the interview.
“Ningetamani niimbe na yeye. Mimi ni msanii, nataka anisaidie nikuwe msanii kama yeye,” the boy said.
The woman also added that she was ready to have a DNA test to prove that Bahati is his son.

Bahati on meeting her
In an Instagram post on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, he confirmed that he had spoken to her and planned to meet her on Friday.
“Finally, I talked to her today. I will meet her face to face on Friday,” Bahati confirmed.
However, he admitted that there are details that do not add up for him.
“Mahali hii hesabu haiingiani ni yeye ni mluya mimi ni mkamba,” he said.
Bahati also revealed that the woman had been contacting him frequently.
“For the last three days she has been in my inboxes, and all that and today I got her number. And I said wacha nimsikilize,” he said.
