Baby Top pens emotional thank-you message to Babu Owino after school fees gesture on her show

Kameme FM ‘Canjamuka’ show host Muthoni Wakirumba, popularly known as Baby Top, has penned an emotional message to Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino following his surprise gesture of paying school fees for struggling parents during the programme.

In a heartfelt note shared on Facebook on Friday, March 13, 2026, Wakirumba expressed deep gratitude to the legislator, saying his act of generosity had touched the lives of many families who had been struggling to keep their children in school.

“Dear Hon Babu Owino, Am writing this with tears in my heart overflowing with gratitude. There are few people who can truly make an impact on a massive scale, and through your recent act of charity, you have done exactly that,” she wrote.

According to the presenter, Babu Owino’s decision to step in and clear outstanding school fees had not only lifted a financial burden from parents but had also given many students a renewed chance to continue with their education.

Wakirumba described the gesture as a powerful act of kindness at a time when many families are grappling with economic challenges.

She noted that by removing the financial barrier of school fees, the MP had enabled thousands of students to pursue their dreams and improve their futures.

“Thank you for bailing out thousands of fans by covering their outstanding school fees. In a world that can often feel selfish, your benevolence shines as a beacon of hope,” Baby Top added.

The radio host went on to describe the Embakasi East lawmaker as a leader whose actions demonstrate empathy and compassion. She added that his generosity had set an example of leadership that inspires many people.

“By removing this financial barrier, you have enabled thousands of students to continue their education, pursue their dreams, and lift their families out of despair. You didn’t just pay a fee, you gave them a future. This is a monumental contribution to the future of our community,” she added.

In her message, Wakirumba said she felt proud to call Babu Owino her friend, thanking him for what she termed as his incredible heart and willingness to help those in need.

She also noted that his actions had made him a hero to many families whose children were at risk of dropping out of school due to unpaid fees.

“You have set an example of true leadership and empathy that inspires everyone around you. Am beyond proud to call you my friend,” she shared.

Baby Top further prayed for Owino, saying his kindness had brought hope to many households and reminding him that his generosity would not go unnoticed.

Several callers shared their challenges, including outstanding school fee balances that had prevented their children from continuing with their education.

Babu Owino then proceeded to send money directly to the parents via mobile money during the live broadcast, confirming each transaction on air.

The initiative saw multiple parents receive immediate financial relief, with some sharing emotional reactions as the payments were confirmed.
