Alma Mutheu and Gift Muziq confirm they are back together
Content creator Alma Mutheu and musician Gift Muziq have confirmed that they are back together, sharing the news in a heartfelt Valentine’s message.
In a statement on Saturday, February 14, 2026, Mutheu expressed gratitude for a second chance at love.

“God said, ‘Try again,’ and we answered. We weren’t perfect. We weren’t ready. But we were real. And sometimes real love doesn’t end… it just waits until you’re both strong enough to handle it. Happy Valentine’s from us,” she stated.
This comes a year after Alma Mutheu confronted his boyfriend, Gift Muziq, whom she said she had supported for two years, noting that she was tired of shouldering household responsibilities all the time.
“It gets to a certain point as a woman where you get tired of doing everything. It is fine; not everybody is capable, but you cannot stay with a person for a very long time, say three or two years, and you are still providing everything as a woman. Even if it is providing half, that is providing,” Alma Mutheu said.
The brand influencer with over 1.5 million followers across various social platforms said in the interview that she gave Gift Muziq the chance to step up in the early stages of the relationship, but the musician was falling short.
“Why am I still paying rent, fuelling the car and meeting every other responsibility? Gift Muziq has the ability to level up, but he has to be pushed,” Alma Mutheu remarked.
Amid social media calls by Kenyans urging Gift Muziq to abandon the relationship, he expressed confidence in Alma, noting that those predicting doom and gloom had no idea what they had been through.
“A lot will be said, but one thing I love about her is that she is very supportive, and people do not understand what we’ve been through. She is just someone else,” Gift Muziq remarked.
