Alex Mwakideu advises men to embrace full-body hygiene

Radio host Alex Mwakideu has urged men to take full responsibility for their personal hygiene, saying many fail to maintain cleanliness beyond the obvious areas.

During his radio show on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, he says that while some men focus on general cleaning, they often neglect other parts that matter.

“Watoto wa kike wanaongelesha wanaume. Wanasema kwamba jamani ehh, kuna harufu mbaya ambayo hutoka, ambayo haipendezi. Tumeelewana hadi hapo?” he explains.

He points out that general cleaning is not enough if it only covers the visible parts.

According to Mwakideu, men need to take care of hygiene in all areas, including the parts that are less obvious. He adds that neglecting these areas can give a bad impression and affect relationships.

Extend to every part of the body

Mwakideu stresses that cleaning should extend to every part of the body.

“So wakati ambao wanaume mnafanya kitu kinaitwa general cleaning, nyuma pia, katika backyard, safisha,” he says.

He explained that many men clean only the front, which he refers to as the parking area.

“Wanaume wengi hawafanyi usafi. Wanaofanya, wanasafisha mpaka mbele katika parking area,” he adds.

He encourages men to be thorough and consistent with hygiene routines. According to Mwakideu, women notice even small lapses and can be critical of poor habits. He explains that taking care of the whole body is not just about appearances but also about health.

“Sasa wanasema pia ukifyeka pale mbele katika parking area fyeka pia pale nyuma katika backyard,” he says, urging men to pay attention to every part.

Mwakideu calls on men to adopt better habits and not be complacent. He believes that good hygiene is a sign of respect for oneself and others. He notes that simple actions, like cleaning every area properly, can make a big difference in how people perceive them.

He concludes by saying that men who take full responsibility for their hygiene are more confident and respected.

“Ukifanya usafi kwa kila sehemu, unakuwa mtu wa heshima na unaonyesha kujitunza,” Mwakideu explains.

According to Mwakideu, personal hygiene is not optional and should cover the entire body.
