2Mbili shares emotional message after losing another relative to cancer
Youtuber and car reviewer 2Mbili has penned an emotional message after his favourite aunt, Mary Anyango Otieno, passed away following a debilitating struggle with cancer.
In the message shared on Instagram on Saturday, January 31, 2026, 2Mbili revealed that his aunt had been battling breast cancer.

He recalled that it was the same illness that had claimed his mother over twenty-six years ago and expressed regret at how cruel life seemed to him.
“The same breast cancer that took away my mum back in 2000 took one of my favourite aunties,” he wrote.
Further, the YouTuber lamented that his aunt’s demise occurred on the same day as his birthday, reflecting on what might have gone amiss.
“She was my favourite aunt, and she died this January on my birthday,” he wrote.
Additionally, 2Mbili went on to share photos from when he attended his aunt’s burial, showing himself reconnecting with relatives he had not seen in a long time.
In the photos, he also shared a banner displaying details of his aunt, including that Mary was born on April 1, 1963, and went to be with her Maker on January 10, 2026.
He further shared photos of a priest praying over his aunt’s white casket, which had been placed under a secluded tent at the venue where the burial ceremony was held.

The heartbreaking development comes just days after 2Mbili revealed why he is backing President William Ruto’s re-election.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Sunday, January 25, 2026, 2mbili disclosed that he met Ruto’s son, who recognised him and influenced him to support the president.
According to 2Mbili, the meeting turned into an unexpected 10-minute conversation. He described the president’s 2son as humble and approachable, even inviting him to a gig next week.
“Guess who I met at 11 pm last night in some parking in A Clean G wagon? He even recognised my car, & I heard him say, “Hii ni ya 2mbili”. I got closer to seeing who be that in a G recognising my Lancer,” 2mbili revealed.
“Brooo I Didn’t believe it though I played it cool nisikae fala!! The president’s son! Boy even stopped & we had a chit chat for about 10 minutes!”
The comedian further stated that he discovered that the YouTube search bar for Statehouse had “2Mbili TV,” adding that he thought the president’s son was humble, but found him to be even more humble than expected.
He said the president’s son had invited him to a gig next week, to which he promised to attend.
He added that he was now a close friend of the president’s son and hoped to get even closer to the family, mentioning that people would see him with Charlene.
“Kumbe search bar ya youtube statehouse iko na “2mbili tv” I thought am humble, yoo That kid is super humble man!! He even invited me to his gig next week nikamshow “Nitaona” … Eish!,” he stated.
“Am now a Close Friend With the President’s Son, and maybe soon I will get even closer to the fam! Mtaniona na Charlene! Eish TUTAM.”
2Mbili said that he wanted to remain a close friend of the president’s son and warned others not to try to remove him from the Nyota Fund.
“TUTAM!! So that I remain a president’s Son Close Friend !! Mkuwe Wangwana Msijaribu Kunitoa Kwa NYOTA FUND!! Ama Namna Gani, My Other Friends! Wueeh! Usiwai Assume Anything,” he added.
