2mbili dismisses Terence Creative’s advice to content creator ahead of iShowSpeed’s visit
By Valerian Khakayi, January 4, 2026Digital content creator and comedian Andrew Duncan Oduor, widely known as 2mbili, has differed with his fellow comedian Lawrence Mwangi Macharia, alias Terence Creative, ahead of the visit to Kenya by American YouTuber, live streamer, and entertainer Darren Jason Watkins Jr., famously known as iShowSpeed.
Replying to Terence’s advice issued on Sunday, January 4, 2026, via his official Instagram account, urging Kenyan creators to prepare and align their content ahead of iShowSpeed’s anticipated visit to Kenya, 2mbili made it clear that chasing international creators should not be the focus.
He further argued that Kenya already has enough talent to build its own global stars.
According to 2mbili, instead of scrambling to impress the global YouTuber, Kenyan creators should focus on building original, high-energy, authentic personalities that reflect local culture.

2mbili also pointed out that iShowSpeed’s visits are often highly controlled, with limited time for organic collaborations.
“Leta Create our own Ishowspeed; huyu jamaa hana time; kila kitu ilishapangwa mtashangaa kumuona Turkana ama Busia,” 2mbili said.

Terence on iShow Speed’s visit
This comes after Terence urged Kenyan creators to think beyond short-term excitement following the visit of American streamer iShowSpeed.
Taking to his official Instagram account on December 4, 2025, he said the focus should not only be on one-time collaborations, but on how the visit can benefit creators and the industry in the long run. According to Terence, the moment presents a rare opportunity that should be handled with strategy.
“Kenyan creators, let’s control our excitement about iShowSpeed’s visit and see beyond us collaborating with him for a onetime content,” Terence said.
He noted that while collaborations are attractive, they should not be the main goal. He encouraged creators to pause and think about long-term value.
“He has tens of millions of followers across YouTube and Twitch and streams,” he said.
He added that the streamer also has access to powerful global networks that could open doors for local creators and pointed out that iShowSpeed is connected to major global figures.

“He has a very huge networks of people like Mr Beast, CR7 and many more global networks,” Terence said. He explained that such connections could help Kenyan creators move to global levels faster.
The content creator further said the visit should be used to build skills and exposure.
“Let’s see how can he can help upcoming and existing creators reach some global levels,” he said.
He suggested that learning should be a key focus during the visit and proposed direct engagement between iShowSpeed and local creators.
“Let him meet creators even for an afternoon for a masterclass,” Terence said.
He added that learning “a few tricks of growth” could help creators grow brand-wise and understand global content strategies.
Terence also raised the idea of opening global doors for local talent.
“Is there a possibility to introduce Kenyan creators and influencers to the global platforms?” he asked. He said such introductions could change careers and expand reach beyond borders.
“If he captures Kenyan creators, culture, events, or continuous collaborations in his streams, it can put local creators in front of a huge international audience,” he said.
