Nelson Ibrahim Kidero, alias Nelson Muriithi, a man who claimed that President William Ruto was his father and confessed to entering Bunge Towers thrice unlawfully looking for his 13 wives, has told the court that he is ready to go to Kamiti Maximum Prison.

His sentiments came after he, however, on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, changed his earlier statement and pleaded not guilty to the charge of accessing the Bunge Towers parking area on August 7, 2025, at 9:30 pm.

Kidero also revealed to the court that he is 20 years old, but did not have an Identification Card (ID), he was supposed to apply for one after completing his seven-year sentence at Kamiti.

“I do not have an ID, but I was supposed to get an ID since I have finished my seven-year sentence in the Kamiti Maximum Prison,” Kidero told the court.

Milimani Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi asked Kidero if he was ready to pay cash bail after pleading not guilty to the charge.

“Now, since you have denied the charges, will you be ready to pay the cash bail?” Magistrate Ekhubi asked Kidero.

“I will be ready to go to Kamiti Maximum Prison,” Kidero responded.

His responses led to Ekhubi telling the prosecution that there was still a need to have him be available for a mental assessment.

“I still insist we need to get that mental assessment because he is clearly not okay,” Magistrate Ekhubi stated.

The court directed the prosecution to expedite the mental assessment test. The prosecution said that he will be taken to the hospital on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, and is likely to be booked for the assessment.

During court proceedings, the magistrate, Ekhubi, asked Kidero if he was being fed and sleeping well at the Industrial Area Prison.

“Not much, but saa hii niko njaa, I’m hungry,” Kidero told the court.

The magistrate then told him that he would buy him food for today and asked what he wanted to eat, and he said milk and bread.

“I will buy you food for today, so I will tell the officer to get you bread and milk,” Ekhubi told Kidero.

He then asked him how much bread and milk cost, and in reply, he said, “One packet of milk is supposed to be Ksh60, so if you calculate the percentage, not the percentage,” sending the court attendees into bursts of laughter.

“The total cost of bread and milk is not less than Ksh120,” Kidero said.

Magistrate Ekhubi gave his court assistant Ksh500 to pass to the police officer tasked with buying Kidero food.

On September 25, 2025, Kidero treated the court to a shocking revelation after he said that Industrial Area Prisons is haunted by demons.

This was after he was told he would be taken back to prison as he waits for another appointment for him to be available for a mental assessment at the Kenyatta National Hospital.

The Court had ordered the man to be taken for the assessment before pleading to unlawful entry into parliamentary precincts, contrary to section 31 (1) (a) as read with section 31 (2) of the Parliamentary Powers and Privileges Act 2017.

Magistrate Ekhubi asked him to tell the court about his experience at Industrial Area Prison and whether he was okay.

“No, I am not okay there,” Kidero told the court.

He further proceeded to tell the court that there were demons at the Industrial Area Prison, and he was the only person who could deal with them.

“There are two prisons: kuna Industrial Area na kuna Kamiti. In the Industrial Area kuna ma demons na hakuna mtu anaeza toa ma demons kuniliko, na Kamiti hakuna demons nilikua hapo,” Kidero stated.

The magistrate then told him that he would transfer him from the Industrial Area to Kamiti.

However, he immediately opposed the transfer and told the magistrate to just let him go back to Industrial Area Prison.

“No, Nirudishe Industrial Area, Kamiti ni kwa mashoga,” Kidero stated, leaving the court attendants laughing.

He also told the court that although there are many in the Industrial Area, they are fed very well, and he does not like it; he prefers going back to his normal life in Kayole.

Industrial Area ni venye mnafungiwa watu wengi na mnalishwa vizuri huko; mnakulishwa githeri, mnakulishwa ugali. Mimi sitaki hio heri niende kwetu nitesekee kwetu Kayole, of which najua sitateseka,” Kidero told the court.

The matter will be mentioned on October 9, 2025.
