“The Law Society of Kenya has learnt with great shock and sadness of the tragic death of Onchiri James Nyaata, Advocate. According to initial reports, his body was found at the prefabricated buildings near the Kajiado Law Courts. Upon receiving this devastating news. I immediately rushed to the scene, where a team from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Homicide Unit had cordoned off the area and began the investigations,” she stated.

“At this point, we do not wish to speculate on the circumstances surrounding the death and we urge the investigating authorities to conduct thorough and swift investigations, to uncover the motive and cause of death. We trust that the truth will emerge, and justice will be served.”

Odhiambo has also appealed to any person with information that may aid the investigations, to come forward and report to the nearest police station, and fully cooperate with the law enforcement agencies to ensure that justice is served.

“We call upon our members to remain calm during this difficult time. We will provide further details regarding the outcome of the investigations as soon as they become available. The Law Society of Kenya extends its heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues of Advocate Onchiri, and the entire legal fraternity during this difficult time. We unequivocally condemn this heinous act in the strongest possible terms and stand together in solidarity, grieving the loss of our member,” she added.
