Young Blood Kamotho opens up on pain of being circumcised twice
By Steve Ireri, July 10, 2025TikToker Peterson Kamotho, alias Youngblood Kamotho, has opened up about one of the most traumatic experiences of his life, revealing that he underwent circumcision twice, with the first procedure leaving him in unbearable pain for nearly three years.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with Kameme FM on Thursday, July 10, 2025, he said the experience unfolded as he was transitioning from primary to secondary school in 2015, a period he described as one of deep personal struggle.
“When I was transitioning from class eight to high school, life was so hard, and I was not on good terms with my father,” he said, adding that this strained relationship contributed to the mishandling of his circumcision process.
Kamotho stated that his first circumcision took place in 2015 at a local centre in Makongeni, which he described as unprofessional, noting that the aftermath of that operation left him in persistent physical agony.
“I completed class eight in 2015, and so I was taken for circumcision at a local place in Makongeni, which was by far unprofessional. After that procedure, I remained in pain for the entire duration of 2016, 2017 and 2018,” he said.
He explained that although he began complaining about the pain immediately after the procedure, his concerns were met with disbelief and misjudgment, with accusations directed at him that he described as deeply unfair.
“I was in pain, but when I complained, I was accused of engaging in prostitution, yet I had started raising concerns from the very first day,” he said.
Kamotho recalled that the procedure had not been done properly, saying it was not even stitched, which led to continuous suffering once he returned home.
At the time, he said he was staying with his brother, Thuita, who, despite his best efforts, struggled to cook meals and support his recovery.
“What happened is, when I went for circumcision, the procedure was not done well. I was not stitched. So when I went back home, I was in pain. My brother did not know how to cook, so I was not eating very well. He tried, at least, because we had completed class eight together,” he said.
According to Kamotho, his brother had undergone circumcision earlier at a more professional facility and did not face the complications that he had to endure.
In 2018, after continued complaints and escalating pain, Kamotho was taken for a second circumcision, a decision he said was made after repeated accusations and a lack of support.
Family problems
Kamotho also touched on deeper issues at home, saying that his relationship with his father became increasingly strained after 2018, leading him to run away from home.
“Since 2018, when I ran away from home because he was beating me so much, plus because of the woman he brought after my mum, things became worse,” he said, adding that even while in Form Three, many people around him were aware of the struggles he faced.
He said that after fleeing, he went in search of his mother in Zimmerman, and it has now been seven years since he last spoke to his father.
Kamotho, however, acknowledged that he was taken to primary school by his father and said that was one of the positive contributions to his upbringing.
He also revealed that he had been told he would need to undergo a DNA test if he wished to be taken in, as there had been demands for proof of paternity.
“The positive thing is, he took me to primary school. But he also said that if I wanted him to take me in, I had to go for a DNA test so that he could confirm I am his child,” he said.
