Kenyan artiste Willy Paul has reported that thugs who wanted to create a false impression of students on rampage broke into one of his pubs on Thursday night.

Through a post shared on Instagram on Friday, October 10, 2025, the award-winning singer revealed that the group vandalised his property, broke into his car, and stole merchandise, including expensive alcohol.

In his detailed post, Willy Paul explained that the incident was a well-planned act of theft disguised as a student riot.

He said the attackers caused significant damage to the property and even tried to destroy surveillance evidence by removing the CCTV hard drive, though they failed.

“Dear friends and supporters, I want to address an unfortunate incident that occurred last night at my liquor store.

“My shop was targeted by a group of hired goons who attempted to create the impression that the attack was carried out by students.

“In reality, their sole intention was theft. They broke my car, broke into the shop, stole merchandise, including some expensive alcohol, and even tried to steal the CCTV hard drive but were unsuccessful,” part of his post read.

Police launch investigations

Willy Paul said he has already reported the matter to the police, and investigations are underway to trace the suspects.

He noted that he is cooperating with authorities to ensure the perpetrators are brought to justice.

“I want to assure you all that no one was injured, and the police have been notified. Investigations are already underway, and we are working closely with the authorities to apprehend those responsible,” he said.

Despite the incident, the Saldido Records boss assured his fans that operations at his business will continue as usual.

He thanked his loyal supporters for standing with him and invited them to visit the pub.

“I also want to let you know that our business remains open, and we appreciate your continued support during this time. See you all tonight at The Bar Next Door,” he added.

The incident has sparked mixed reactions online, with many fans expressing sympathy and urging the authorities to act swiftly.
