Stevo Simple Boy reveals list of names reserved for his child

Speaking during an interview on the night of Saturday, August 16, 2025, the artiste explained that he had carefully thought about names that reflect both his personal identity and cultural background.
He revealed that if the baby is a girl, he has reserved names such as Mariana and Bianca, while for a boy, he intends to choose between Otieno and Ojwang. According to him, this decision stems from his desire to ensure his child carries a meaningful identity from the very start.
“Even before the baby arrives, I have already chosen names. If it is a girl, I want to name her Mariana or Bianca, and if it is a boy, I have planned to call him Otieno or Ojwang,” he said.
Marriage
Stevo further admitted that marriage has not been an easy journey for him, but he remains determined to give his best to his family.
He emphasised that many Kenyans have long expressed a desire to see him embrace fatherhood, and now with his first child on the way, he feels proud to step into that role.
“Marriage is not easy, but I keep pushing on. For a long time, Kenyans have been saying they want to see my child, and now one is on the way,” he added.
Reflecting on his commitment, the rapper noted that fatherhood comes with responsibility and that he is fully prepared for the task ahead.
He described his forthcoming child as one destined for greatness, expressing confidence that the baby would achieve even more than he has in his own career.
“This child will be greater than the father. I am fully prepared for fatherhood because once you enter marriage, you must stay committed,” Stevo added.
He also brushed aside claims linking him to controversies about relationships, insisting that his focus now is on family.
Stevo explained that while people may try to paint a different picture of him, at home, he remains grounded, balancing his identity as Steven Otieno within his family and Stevo Simple Boy in the music scene.
“As for those claims that I was seen looking at another woman, that was just gossip. At home, I am Steven Otieno, but outside I am Stevo Simple Boy.”
