Ruth K opens up on reason she has resorted to taking herself on dates

In a video shared on her YouTube channel on Saturday, September 20, 2025, Ruth expressed excitement about her decision to step out for a solo date, saying that she wanted to inspire her fans to embrace self-love and the joy of looking good for themselves.

She noted that her goal was to encourage people not to sit around waiting for someone else to treat them, but instead to make the deliberate choice of appreciating their own efforts.
“I want to get my make-up done and wear beautiful clothes. I want to look good and also inspire you to love looking good at all times. When you go out somewhere, present yourself well. It is not a must that someone takes you out,” she said.
She explained that dressing well, applying make-up, and going out should not be tied to whether someone takes you out.

She stressed that once in a while, everyone deserves to surprise themselves by stepping out in style.
“Once in a while, dress nicely and surprise yourself. It is very important to treat yourself to outings from time to time. If you keep sitting at home waiting for someone else to take you out, you will remain in that house forever like a bulb. So whenever you get some extra money, go out and enjoy life. Life is short, and honestly, why are we working so hard if not to enjoy it?”
Ruth K noted that people work hard for their money, and it is only right that they use it to create memorable moments for themselves.
She emphasised that an outing should not always be dependent on a partner, revealing that on this occasion she had gone out with a female friend simply to enjoy life.
“Right now, I am already out, and you can see how good I look. I am so excited, and I know some of you are wondering if someone brought me here for a date today. The truth is no one brought me. We brought ourselves out today, just me and my friend, and we are enjoying ourselves,” Ruth added.
