In addition, she explained that during the year-long marriage, she repeatedly tried to make things work but felt she was losing herself in the process.

“In that period of one year, I was trying so hard for this marriage to work, but also in that period, these two times that I tried to go and came back, it was really like I cannot am losing myself, I could die trying to make this marriage work and the third time I went it was okay I have to for me it was like a matter of life and death,” she added.

Regrets

In the candid reflection, Rozina revealed that her one-year-and-two-day marriage to Burale was the biggest mistake of her life and the darkest period she has ever gone through.

She said she has since healed and moved on, but even at 50, she still considers the marriage her greatest regret.

“I married Burale in August 2012, just a year after we met. My mother had warned me and said she saw darkness in that marriage. Looking back, I can say the biggest mistake of my life was marrying Robert Burale. The darkest period of my life was when I was with him. That is it. I have grown, I have healed, and I have moved on. But even now, at 50 years old, my biggest mistake in life remains marrying Burale,” she shared.
