Prezzo issues update on his health after Bahati event incident

Jackson Ngechu Makini famously known as CMB Prezzo has come out to allay fears regarding his health after he was recorded falling during the launch of the new Netflix reality show ‘The Bahati’s Empire’.

In a statement shared on his official Instagram page on Friday, June 7, 2024, the renowned rapper assured his fans that he was doing well.

“Contrary to the news going around on social media about my health and red carpet incident last night, I’d like to let everyone know that I am well and kumbukeni sio rahisi kuwa Rais ( remember that being a president in the music industry is not easy),” Prezzo’s statement read in part.

The rapper attributed the scary fall during the launch to fatigue where he revealed that he has been overworking lately.

However, Prezzo pointed out that he was going to take some time off to spend with his family.

Nonetheless, Prezzo extended gratitude to his fans and supporters who reached out to establish what happened and how he was fairing after the incident.

“Been overworking myself hence the fatigue. I thank you all for ur calls, well wishes and concern. For now, I just want to take some time out and relax with my family,” Prezzo added.

Appreciating Gachagua

During the launch, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua expressed his interest and knowledge in local music, revealing that he is an ardent fan of legendary rapper Prezzo.

“Bahati and the rest of you…by the way Prezzo I am your fan, I listen to your music,” Gachagua stated.

In his statement, Prezzo appreciated the Second in Command for publicly endorsing his music.

“Last but not least a big thank you to his Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for the accolades and for supporting an industry that we created with blood, sweat and tears. The future is bright for the industry as a whole,” Prezzo wrote.

During the launch, Gachagua challenged artistes to create clean content that would not corrupt children’s minds and society as a whole.

“Remember we have children and young ones who will watch your show, what are you telling them, how are you preparing them for life? So as much as you want to entertain us be mindful of our young children,” he told the content creators present.

The Second in Command further highlighted the need to overcome social media trolls and cyberbullying. He made reference to his case where he argued that he faced backlash and social media ridicule due to his sense of fashion.
