‘Most broke women don’t believe they’re broke, they think they are dating the wrong guy’ – Muthoni Wa Mukiri
By K24 Editorial, January 11, 2024Award-winning mindset coach and author Muthoni Wa Mukiri has advised women to take accountability for their financial situation and stop blaming the men they are dating.
Muthoni said in her most recent episode of Muthoni’s Mission on her YouTube channel that most women find it difficult to accept their financial circumstances because they believe they should be entitled to a man’s wealth.
According to her, the majority of women assume they are dating the wrong man rather than taking accountability for being broke themselves.
“Most broke women don’t believe they are broke. they think they are dating the wrong guy. So when are you gonna start taking accountability for how your life is? how your life looks. 2024 is a year we grow up. Make money my sister, it is you that is broke,” Muthoni declared.
Muthoni was stern on women who use hook-up sites to hop from one married man to another instead of earning their own money.
She also voiced her disapproval of women who complain that their boyfriends don’t give them money or who claim that they are impoverished because they haven’t met a wealthy man.
“So you are waiting for someone to come and save you? A stranger you met a few months ago, in the meantime you are jumping from one married man to another in hook-up sites, doing the unthinkable to try to make a living. And then think the reason you are broke is that you have not met a rich man. uh uh, the reason you are broke is because you are broke. Let’s not talk about them and let’s actually talk about you,” she said.
In addition, Muthoni pointed out that even if a guy would come to a woman’s rescue by pulling her out of financial ruin, the woman would feel so obligated to him that she would stop at nothing to repay him, including treating him like a god and giving him complete control over her body.
“And if someone can come to your life and save you, they’re doing everything for you then you start thinking they are giving you something you can’t give to yourself, you start treating them like a God they start doing whatever they want with your body, and whatever they want to you, yeah so please make your own money,” Muthoni added.
