Marioo vows to always choose Paula Kajala in touching birthday post

In an emotionally rich Instagram post shared on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, the “Lonely” hitmaker poured his heart out in celebration of Paula, describing her as the very force that brings meaning to his life.
“Happy 23rd birthday to the woman who makes life make sense,” he began, setting the tone for what would unfold into one of the most sincere public declarations of love seen this year.
Switching between English and Swahili, Marioo opened up about the depth of his emotions, acknowledging the difficulty of finding words powerful enough to express the way Paula makes him feel.
“Sijui kama nitawahi kuwa na maneno sahihi kukuambia unavyonifanya nijisikie,” he said, which loosely translates to “I do not know if I will ever have the right words to tell you how you make me feel.”
He then described the uniqueness he sees in her, noting that when he looks at her, he sees something rare and irreplaceable.
“Lakini najua, kila nikikuangalia, naona kitu cha kipekee ambacho dunia haiwezi kunipa tena,” he added, which loosely translates to “But I know, every time I look at you, I see something special that the world can never give me again.”
Marioo did not hold back in expressing just how central Paula is in his life.
He emphasised that she is his sanctuary and the very reason he continues to persevere through life, affirming that having her as his partner is the most rewarding decision he has ever made.
“You’re not just my love; you’re my safe place, my reason, and my best decision,” he declared.
Paula’s absence
Further, the ‘Mi Amor’ crooner admitted that Paula’s absence pains him.
He affirmed that her joy brings peace to the world around him and everything within it, and that her absence leaves an unfillable void in his soul.
“Ukipotea, naumia. Ukicheka, dunia inatulizana. Ukiwa mbali, kuna kitu kinabaki tupu,” he wrote, which loosely translates to “When you disappear, I hurt. When you laugh, the world calms. When you are far, something remains empty.”
Looking ahead to her new year, he offered heartfelt prayers for her growth, love, and success, hoping to be by her side as she blossoms.
“Nakuombea 23 iwe mwaka wako wa kung’aa hata zaidi, kufanikiwa, kupendwa… na mimi nikiwa karibu kushuhudia yote,” he posted, which loosely translates to “I pray 23 will be your year to shine even more, to succeed, to be loved… with me close enough to witness it all.”
He concluded the message by declaring a love so profound that even his heart cannot fully describe or explain it before affirming that he will never leave her and will always choose her without fail.
