Lydiah Wanjiru confirms Doso back on dialysis as recovery continues
By Steve Ireri, July 20, 2025Digital creator Lydiah Wanjiru has shared a detailed health update regarding her boyfriend, Leone Frank Doso, who has been hospitalised after suffering severe injuries from a balcony fall.
In an Instagram story on Sunday, July 20, 2025, she explained that although Doso remains in the High Dependency Unit (HDU), his condition is improving steadily with ongoing medical care.
According to Wanjiru, doctors have resumed dialysis sessions for Doso after a short break, as his kidneys still require close monitoring.
She noted that the pelvic surgery he underwent was successful, with the wound now healing well, adding that he has begun physiotherapy sessions to speed up his recovery and regain mobility.
In her statement, Wanjiru also called for continued patience and prayers, noting that the recovery process is gradual and requires both time and faith.
“He is recovering well, slowly but steadily. The pelvic surgery wound is healing, and he is having physiotherapy to support the same. We only need to be patient and prayerful about the kidneys. He is back to dialysis after taking a break yesterday. He is still in HDU, please note, not ICU, as he still needs intensive care,” she said.
She further praised the medical team at the hospital where Doso is being treated for their exceptional dedication and professionalism, emphasising how supportive and helpful they have been since Doso was admitted.
She expressed gratitude to all well-wishers who have sent prayers and encouraging messages, saying the outpouring of love has kept them strong during this trying time.
Wanjiru added that Doso’s fitness and athletic lifestyle have played a vital role in his recovery journey.
“Being an athlete and a gym rat is one of the advantages Doso has right now! His body is really helping him,” she wrote, describing his strength as an asset that has made it easier for him to cope with the demanding healing process.

Message to Doso
The influencer on Friday, July 18, 2025, penned a heartfelt message to her critically injured boyfriend, who was still in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Speaking through an Instagram Story, Lydia shared an emotional note that offered a glimpse into her unwavering love and pain during this difficult period.
“My love, I pray you always feel me beside you, even from this side of the door…” the message began. In the deeply emotional note, Lydia expressed hope, spiritual reassurance, and a promise to stay by Frank’s side, no matter how long his healing journey takes.
She reminded him that he is “already whole, already healed, already restored to life and health,” ending with the powerful words:

“I’m here, always.” Her post was a reply to a fan who had asked how she was coping and served as both a declaration of love and an appeal for continued prayers.
Focus on recovery
Frank, an events promoter and Lydia’s long-time partner, has been fighting for his life since he fell from the fourth floor of an apartment block under unclear circumstances.
He sustained severe injuries, including a pelvic fracture, internal bleeding, and kidney complications that have required multiple surgeries and dialysis.
He is currently confined to the ICU, with limited access even to loved ones. Lydia earlier said he was receiving dialysis and had undergone an eight-hour emergency surgery.
The couple is also facing a mounting financial crisis due to the hospital expenses. In her previous posts, Lydia appealed for public support to ease the burden and allow them to focus on Frank’s recovery.
