‘I have withdrawn the case’ – Nicholas Kioko, Kasolo make peace

Digital Content creator Nicholas Kioko and Kamba gospel musician Stephen Kasolo have finally buried their beef.
This comes after the YouTuber on June 5, 2024, through his legal team threatened to sue Kasolo over a defamatory statement he made during an interview on June 24, 2024, which circulated widely on social media platforms.
However, the duo settled their beef after Youtuber Meshak Mwegei asked them to reconcile and Kioko through his official Instagram page confirmed that they had settled their beef.
“Mambo iko sawa” Kioko said during the reconciliation handshake adding that he had withdrawn the lawsuit he had filed against Kasolo.
“I have withdrawn the case,” he said.
On the other hand, Kasolo also admitted that he and the Youtuber are now on good terms.

On June 5, 2024, Kioko disclosed his intentions to seek legal action against Kasolo after the defamatory remarks he made during an interview.
In the demand letter, Kioko through his legal representatives claimed that Kasolo made defamatory remarks against their client.
“On or about June 3, 2024, in an interview hosted by one Katumbi, you publicly made highly defamatory utterances against our client, the said utterances were uploaded as a video on the YouTube channel by the name ‘Katumbi” and were widely circulated across all social media platforms,” Kioko’s legal letter reads.
While giving Kasolo three days an ultimatum, Kioko’s legal team went ahead to say that the musician’s allegations were false and deceptive.

“Your allegations and innuendos against our client are wholly false and deceptive and without basis whatsoever and which have amounted to gross and blatant misrepresentation of facts.
Our instructions are therefore to DEMAND from you, as we hereby do, an immediate and unequivocal retraction of the story aforementioned, together with an unequivocal apology for the publication and for the highly defamatory imputations conveyed by it, in such terms as shall be approved by our client, after which we may be at liberty to address the question of damages for the loss of reputation suffered by our client,” the letter said.
“TAKE NOTICE that unless we hear from you on the above within three (3) days of the date hereof we have irrevocable instructions to file a suit against you at your peril as to costs and attendant consequences.”
