Kate Actress’ message to Jackie Matubia as she celebrates birthday

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, Kate described Jackie as her little sister and praised her strength and talent. She celebrated Matubia not just for her acting skills but also for her roles as a mother, daughter, and friend.
The thespian also expressed gratitude for their close bond, saying she feels blessed to have Jackie in her life.
“Happiest Birthday to you, Nyambura, my stubborn as a she goat little sister. Stubborn about not settling for less ever, stubborn about giving nothing but the best as a mom, a daughter, a friend, and as one of the most talented thespians in the 254,” she wrote.

She concluded her message with warm wishes for a year filled with happiness, laughter, and greater achievements.
“You’re such an inspiration to many, always striving to reach new heights and achieve your goals, and I’m so grateful to have such a wonderful person like you in my life. Wishing you a year filled with joy, laughter, and continued success, my love, Nyambura,” Kate added.
The warm message came just a day after Jackie shared her own birthday wish list with her fans. In a lighthearted video, she asked her followers to celebrate her by bringing her a man,
“Tomorrow is actually my birthday, the 16th. So ukiniona, send gifts, send money, send a man,” Jackie said.
Affair
Her birthday, however, comes in the middle of an ongoing controversy.
Recently, socialite Amber Ray’s sister, Ella Ray, accused Matubia of having an affair with her baby daddy, Steve Odek.
The accusations surfaced after photos circulated online showing Jackie seated in Odek’s car.
This forced Matubia to address the matter publicly. She clarified that she was not romantically involved with Odek and that she had only been given a lift.
“Ee passenger princess ndio wankaanga hapa. And also, stop trying to ruin my reputation and these stories about @steveodek_official. If I were in a relationship with him, I would have been seated in the front passenger seat.”
“And if you are coming to insult me in DMs and comments, please come with your chest. Leave the pseudo accounts aside. And next time, at least come with someone I have actually done something with,” she added.
