Juma Jux sets valentine’s bar high with grand second proposal to Nigerian wife

Tanzanian singer Juma Mussa Mkambala, popularly known as Juma Jux, has set the Valentine’s mood soaring after pulling off a jaw-dropping second proposal to his 23-year-old Nigerian girlfriend, once again proving just how smitten he is by her beauty and love.

All of this unfolded in a video he shared on his page on the night of Wednesday, February 12, 2025, capturing the moment he surprised her with the meticulously planned proposal.

After sweeping her off her feet with the extravagant setup, Jux later pulled out a shimmering diamond ring and gifted it to her, leaving her visibly emotional.

The proposal was staged in an area resembling a golf course, where a dining table was elegantly set and where confetti and fireworks had been prepared to explode at the very moment he popped the question, leaving her friends in sheer amazement.

In family’s presence

According to the Ololufe Mi crooner, this second proposal was meant to make his girlfriend, Priscillah Ojo, feel even more special, as this time, her family and closest friends were there to witness the magical moment—something he believed would deepen the significance of the occasion.

In his caption accompanying the post, Jux revealed that the ring he presented to her this time was bigger and even more special than the one from their previous engagement, emphasizing how eager he was to spend the rest of his life with her.

“I’m proposing to you for a second time, but this time in front of your family and dearest friends, and with a ring twice the size. I love you with everything in me, and I can’t wait to spend forever with you, my love,” he wrote, continuing to shower her with affection.

Juma weds Ojo

The proposal comes barely a week after the couple exchanged vows in a star-studded Islamic wedding in Juma’s hometown of Dodoma.

For the intimate yet glamorous event, the two donned traditional Muslim wedding attire and went through the Tanzanian Islamic marriage rites in a ceremony graced by A-list celebrities, including Diamond Platnumz and his songstress girlfriend, Zuchu.

Jux looked regal in a brown thobe, white kanzu, and a chic keffiyeh wrapped around his head, while Ojo dazzled in a gold beaded gown with a matching turban, exuding effortless elegance.

Past love

Before Priscillah Ojo, Juma Jux was in a highly publicized relationship with Tanzanian songstress Vanessa Mdee, a romance that lasted for years before ending in 2019, just before she relocated to the U.S.

Juma and Vanessa were once the golden couple of the East African entertainment scene, a power duo that dominated headlines with their love story while also setting trends in the music industry.

However, for reasons unknown, the two abruptly parted ways in 2019, and much like Juma, Vanessa also moved to the U.S., where she wasted no time in finding a new partner.

She soon fell for American musician and actor Rotimi, with whom she quickly built a family, and today, they share two children.

Though both seemed to have moved on, Juma later admitted in an interview in Arusha that the breakup left a deep wound in his heart.
