Tanzanian R&B sensation Juma Mussa Mkambala, popularly known as Juma Jux, has revealed that he had to cut short his stay in Kenya due to an emergency meeting that required him to fly back to Dar es Salaam.

In a video shared by SPM Buzz on Instagram on Monday, September 8, 2025, the artiste could be seen boarding a private jet in a hurry and explaining that the last-minute arrangement had forced him to adjust his travel plans.

“Hey, what’s up. I was suddenly required to leave, but today I got an emergency meeting that needed me in Dar es Salaam. I had to act quickly, but I am grateful that I managed to secure a private jet at short notice,” he said.

The ‘Nisiulizwe’ hitmaker said the unexpected meeting required his immediate presence in Tanzania, despite originally planning to remain in Kenya longer.

He expressed relief at being able to secure a private jet at short notice, ensuring he could make it to the urgent engagement.

“It was truly last-minute, but now I am sure I will make it to my meeting. I had planned to leave Kenya tomorrow, but this emergency forced me to travel earlier,” he added.

Juma Jux had arrived in Kenya for the wedding of billionaire businessman David Langat’s daughter, Nicole Chepkoech Langat, and Brian Kipkoech Belio, son of Immigration Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang.

The lavish ceremony took place on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at the serene Naishola Gardens in Limuru, bringing together a mix of political leaders, business tycoons, and dignitaries.

Among the attendees were First Lady Rachel Ruto, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader Raila Odinga, and Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service Felix Koskei.

Juma Jux was notably seen exchanging pleasantries with Raila Odinga, delighting guests with his presence.

The wedding followed a well-publicised engagement celebration on June 21, 2025, which had also featured Juma Jux as the headline performer.

That event, attended by President William Ruto, family members, and close friends, marked the beginning of the couple’s journey toward marriage.

Two months later, a traditional dowry payment ceremony was held on August 2, 2025, in accordance with the Tumdoab Kanyiook tradition, highlighting the values of love, respect, and gratitude central to the Kalenjin community. Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and other dignitaries extended their congratulations to the couple, wishing them a lifetime of happiness and unity.
