Joyce Omondi gushes over first-ever conversation with gospel legend CeCe Winans

The encounter, which Omondi described as exceeding her wildest dreams, took place over the weekend that started on Saturday, August 30, 2025, and left her visibly moved.
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram on Monday, September 1, 2025, Omondi recounted her excitement, noting that she had loved Winans and her ministry ever since she was a little girl.
She revealed that she had never imagined that meeting her would ever be possible, let alone sitting down and having a conversation, as it ultimately did.
“This weekend, God did exceedingly and abundantly! I have loved @cecewinans and her ministry ever since I was a little girl. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d get to meet her, let alone sit down and have a conversation with her,” she wrote.
According to Omondi, the meeting exceeded every expectation.
She described Winans as warm, funny, deep, beautiful, grounded and everything she had imagined and more.
She also noted that their conversation was not only inspiring but also deeply personal, offering insights into Winans’ journey and ministry that left a lasting impression.
“Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I’d get to meet her, let alone sit down and have a conversation with her. 🙆🏾♀️😭 She is everything I imagined she’d be: warm, funny, deep, beautiful, grounded. Wah, bravo Jesus! And thank you,” Joyce wrote on Instagram.

The renowned gospel singer touched down in Kenya ahead of her much-anticipated “More Than This” concert on Friday, August 29, 2025.
The 17-time Grammy Award winner was warmly received upon arrival, greeted with bouquets and a dedicated team that escorted her and her entourage to a waiting convoy.
In a video shared by a local YouTuber on Facebook, the ‘Goodness of God’ crooner appeared visibly elated while taking in the warm reception from fans and organisers alike.
Winans then performed in Nairobi as part of her “More Than This” tour, which celebrates her long-standing career in gospel music and her dedication to inspiring audiences worldwide.
The Kenyan leg of the tour came hot on the heels of her performance in Uganda on Thursday, August 28, 2025, where she shared highlights on her Instagram stories.
In her post, she described the concert as an unforgettable experience and thanked the Yoweri Museveni-led country for turning out in such large numbers.
“Thank you, Kampala, Uganda, for an amazing night of worship,” she wrote.
