Chairman of Association of Matatu operators Jamal Marlow, alias Jamal Rohosafi has reportedly gifted his rumoured new girlfriend Wangari Thiong’o a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Wangari was celebrating her birthday on Thursday, July 7 and thus the expensive gift from the businessman.
In an update on her Instagram page, Wangari, a single mother of one shared a video unboxing the new phone and thanked Jamal for it.
She thanked the Matatu boss whom she referred to ‘my person’ for the phone and everything that he has generally done for her.
“Thank you for the birthday gift and everything else you’ve done for me my person, umekuwa baraka,” Wangari wrote.
Wangari who works as a secretary at Huduma Credit Limited, a micro-lending company that the flamboyant businessman runs attached Jaymes Young’s Happiest Year song to the video.
Jamal treats Wangari to birthday dinner
As of the gift was not enough, a romantic business magnate treated Wangari to a dinner date; sharing a video of themselves enjoying cocktails.
He used a romantic song to complete the video which he captioned;
“Happiest birthday to my best friend, continue being the amazing person you are.”
Dating rumuors
Rumours of the two dating emerged when gossip blogger Edgar Obare shared photos of the the two enjoying a Valentine’s date at Nairobi’s Radisson Blu Hotel.
The two shared a table which had a romantic setup.
However, despite facts linking the two together, they have come out to deny dating claims as widely speculated online.
Jamal denies dating Wangari
For instance, speaking in a past interview, the controversial Matatu Owners Association official denied dating the mother of one stating that if he starts dating he will be sure to make things open.
“I’m still very single. Wangari is my best friend and I am not dating her. We have not started those things
“If I will want to date her, I will let people know about it, but for now, people should stop guess work. We are just good friends,” he said.
On the other hand, Wangari echoed Jamal’s statement denying being in a romantic relationship with the controversial businessman.
“I hope this provides clarity. I am not dating Jimal. To all the bloggers coming to my dm hakuna chai hapa,” she wrote.
Jamal’s other relationships
Jamal came into the limelight after he started dating socialite Faith Makau, otherwise known as Amber Ray.
As time went, Amber and Jamal’s first wife, Amira, got into disagreement resulting to their break up forcing Jamal to go back to his first wife.
However, shortly after, Amira demanded a divorce from the businessman citing disrespect.
“As from today, kindly consider me a single mum. Jimal RohoSafi get that divorce paper ready. I’m not going to allow you to. disrespect me again,” Amira wrote.
