Jackie Matubia defends herself after Ellah Ray accuses her of dating Steve Odek
Award-winning actress Jackie Matubia has continued to defend herself following allegations by Amber Ray’s sister, Ellah Ray, that she had an affair with her baby daddy, Steve Odek.
The controversy arose after photos circulated showing Matubia seated in Odek’s car, sparking speculation online about the nature of their relationship.

In response, Matubia shared a video clarifying that she had been seated in the back of the car and was merely given a lift.
She stressed that if she were in a romantic relationship with Odek, she would have been seated in the front passenger seat.
“Ee passenger princess ndio wankaanga hapa. And also, stop trying to ruin my reputation and these stories about @steveodek_official,” she said.
She also addressed critics directly, urging those leaving insults in direct messages or comments to confront her openly rather than hide behind pseudo accounts.
Matubia wrote that anyone making claims should at least have something to substantiate them.
“And if you are coming to insult me in DMs and comments, please come with your chest. Leave the pseudo accounts aside. And next time, at least come with someone I have actually done something with,” she said.
Earlier, Matubia had posted on social media, emphasising the long-standing friendship she has had with Odek since she was 18 years old, insisting that her interactions with him have always been platonic.
She dismissed the claims as attempts to ruin her reputation and the narrative surrounding Steve Odek.
“And also, stop trying to ruin my reputation and these stories about @steveodek_official. Life is so private that you don’t know we’ve been friends since I was 18. If I wanted, I would have!”
Ellah Ray, meanwhile, had previously shared her frustrations online, alleging repeated disrespect from various women over the course of her three-year relationship with Odek.
She claimed that multiple women had interacted with Odek under the guise of co-parenting and friendship, adding that these interactions had caused tension in her household.
Ellah said that some encounters had even escalated to public outings and club appearances, and that she had to take measures to protect her child from hostility.
“I’ve been openly disrespected by different women for these 3 years and 8 months. Each year, I’ve had to deal with different women. This year, it’s your fav, a few other ladies, and his first baby mama, who they have been separated from for over 10 years, someone whose child I’ve lived with since even before conceiving Amore. They have been sleeping together under the pretence of co-parenting, and trust me, she takes every opportunity to make sure it gets to me,” she said.
Ellah also accused Odek of soliciting intimate photos from women, which she said were flooding her social media messages, further intensifying the conflict.
Despite Matubia’s refutation, Ellah maintained that she had evidence of sexual messages exchanged between Matubia and Odek, keeping the debate alive on social media.
“Her response, yet I have found sexual messages between the two. Y’all saw it, right? To an extent of them even clubbing at a local club around our home and local Airbnbs too. It has even gotten to the point where her son became so hostile towards Amore, I had to instruct her nanny never to leave her alone with him. I even fell out with my own siblings for standing by him. And as if that’s not enough, this man is still out here soliciting nudes from women without even paying them, so they flood my DMs instead. These are messages from July. The other women are still in the picture, and this isn’t even the first woman to come to me with such stories about his cheating or how he’s asking for nudes!”
