Hamisa Mobetto explains reason for separate brand deals from husband Aziz Ki
By Steve Ireri, July 14, 2025Tanzanian model and entrepreneur Hamisa Mobetto has addressed questions surrounding her decision to feature in advertisements separately from her husband, Burkinabe footballer Stéphane Aziz Ki.
Speaking to Tanzanian YouTubers on Monday, July 14, 2025, Hamisa explained that the choice to appear solo in some brand campaigns is not due to personal issues but rather a professional strategy guided by brand alignment and market demands.
She noted that both she and her husband represent individual brands that are equally strong in their own right, and as such, some companies choose to work with them either separately or as a pair, depending on the nature of the campaign.
“We are two different brands,” she said, adding, “We are two distinct entities, and there are some companies that need us as a pair and others that prefer to work with one of us individually.”
Hamisa further emphasised that this separation of work is actually a strength rather than a limitation, saying each of them knows their worth and the direction of their respective brands.
“The good thing is that everyone has their own brand and knows exactly what they are doing,” she added.

Her remarks come amid fan speculation that the couple might be intentionally distancing themselves in the public eye. However, Hamisa made it clear that the decision is purely professional and part of a deliberate branding strategy.
