Dr King’ori: Alex Mwakideu set up Robert Burale on his podcast
By Paulette Mboga, October 5, 2025Media personality Dr King’ori has weighed in on the recent controversy surrounding Alex Mwakideu’s podcast episode that featured his sister, Rozina Mwakideu, and her ex-husband, Robert Burale.
According to Dr King’ori, Mwakideu may have unknowingly or intentionally placed Burale in an uncomfortable situation by hosting both him and Rozina on separate episodes that revolved around their past marriage.
King’ori described the move in a video he made on Instagram on Saturday, October 5, 2025, as a “setup”, saying Burale “ameingizwa mtungini”.
“Leo naingia social media napata Alex Mwakideu after kuleta Robert Burale; he brought his sister, who was married to Robert Burale,” Dr King’ori said.
“Mwakideu’s sister is straight up in the interview, saying the darkest moment of her life was when she was married to Burale. In my opinion, Alex Mwakideu has set up Robert Burale. Hapo Burale alipigwa setupmoja international.”
Rozina on her marriage to Burale
During the now widely discussed podcast, gospel minister Rozina Mwakideu opened up about her short-lived marriage to motivational speaker and pastor Burale. She described it as the darkest and most painful period of her life.
Speaking during the interview hosted by her brother Alex on Saturday, October 4, Rozina revealed that her marriage to Burale lasted only one year and two days. She said the relationship left her emotionally drained and questioning the intentions behind it.

Rozina, who is now 50 years old, said she has since healed and moved on but still considers the marriage the biggest mistake of her life.
“I married Burale in August 2012, just a year after we met. My mother had warned me and said she saw darkness in that marriage. Looking back, I can say the biggest mistake of my life was marrying Robert Burale. The darkest period of my life was when I was with him,” she said.
Dr King’ori’s reaction to the interview has added a new twist to the unfolding story, with his remarks suggesting that Mwakideu might have put Burale in an awkward public spotlight.
He humorously advised men to be cautious when dealing with their partners, adding, “As you interact with your future ex-wife, please find out kama their brother has plans to open a podcast.”
