Chiki Kuruka reveals which word moved her the most from birthday wishes

“What has made my day today?! All the messages that have used the word ‘kind’ to describe me. Loyalty and kindness are two things I take really seriously,” she wrote.
She went on to explain that working in an industry that demands long hours, tough decisions, and tight budgets often leaves her little time to give as much as she would like to those around her.
“I’m STRETCHING budgets. I’m having to cut people from projects. I physically don’t have the time I would want.
“I always try, despite that, to lead with loyalty and kindness. Sometimes I fail. But to all the messages calling me kind, it means the world to me,” she admitted.
Finding humanity
Chiki acknowledged that the entertainment and creative industry can push people to the edge, sometimes stripping away their ability to show warmth and patience.
However, she emphasised her commitment to remaining grounded, striving to be human in spaces where pressure and competition can make that difficult.
“I’ma KEEP trying to be as human as I can, in environments that at times can push you to the edge,” she added, vowing to stay true to herself regardless of challenges.

“My hero in this is honestly my husband, the kindest yet most straightforward human I know,” she said, crediting him for influencing her outlook on life.
