Kenyan musician Bahati has publicly apologised for his recent actions, saying he has reflected on his recent behaviours and admits he is not perfect.

In a message on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Bahati said he had received many calls from his friends and family after his recent conduct, which sparked criticism online.

The singer said he feels sorry for disappointing people who looked up to him, including his fans, partners, and the Christian community.

“I received many calls, from my friends, family…I want to apologise for all the times you feel I have let down society,” Bahati said.

The award-winning artist went on to admit that he has not always acted like a responsible father and regrets moments when his actions may have hurt those close to him.

“For all the times I don’t act like a responsible father to my kids, I apologise for all the times you feel like I have let down Christianity,” he said.

Bahati said that despite his mistakes, his faith in God remains strong. He asked for forgiveness, saying only God knows his heart and intentions.

“My God, the one who knows my heart, forgive me because I am just a man. You know I have never left you. God sijawai kuacha,” he said.

Bahati also reminded his followers that perfection is impossible, quoting the Bible to show that every person is bound to make mistakes.

“Just like the Bible says, no man is perfect, and I agree I am not,” he stated. The artist, who has often faced public scrutiny for his choices, said he is determined to change and become a better version of himself. He said he cannot promise to be perfect but is committed to doing his best. “Jesus, as I work on myself, I can’t promise perfection, but I will do my best. So help me God,” Bahati said.
